Welcoming Our New Executive Director

A Warm Welcome to Carrie Olenick

Adeo is excited to announce that after a thorough and rigorous selection process, the board of directors has chosen Carrie Olenick to lead the organization into the future. Carrie will officially join Adeo on October 1, 2024. Over the following three months, she will work closely with the current leadership during her transition into the role of executive director, which she will assume on January 1, 2025.

Carrie is eager to become part of the Adeo family, sharing the organization’s commitment to empowering adults with brain injuries to live life to the fullest. Her personal experience as a family member of an adult with a traumatic brain injury provides her with a deep understanding of the needs of Adeo’s residents and their families.

A Proven Leader in Community Services

Carrie brings over twelve years of experience from her work at Volunteers of America Colorado (VOAC), where she served as senior director for the past seven years. In this role, she managed a range of community- and home-based service programs for older adults and people with disabilities in Northern Colorado. Her leadership has been marked by her dedication to collaboration and action, particularly through her involvement with community-based coalitions focused on disaster response and fostering community equity and belonging.

Carrie holds a bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University and will complete an Executive Master’s in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame this spring. She resides in Fort Collins with her husband and teenage sons, and in her spare time, she enjoys exploring new cuisines and cooking techniques.

A Deep Connection to Adeo’s Mission

Adeo warmly welcomes Carrie to the team and is confident that the community will continue to support her and the organization’s mission just as they have supported the current leadership throughout their tenure. Adeo deeply appreciates the partnership and dedication shown by its community over the years and looks forward to the continued success of its mission under Carrie’s leadership.
